Delta water separators and filters - F901 series
A large amount of Air service equipment can be present downstream of a pneumatic plant. The drawing below shows the required products for filtration and compressed air processing. Move your mouse on the animated parts.
The Delta series is made of premium filters and water separators for applications which require high flows. The standard aluminum end caps on every element, premium manual drain, seals made of FPM, and available 3 micron internal pleated prefilter provide high sturdiness and reliability for your premium filtration.

Applications
- Bulk liquid and solid contamination removal
- Downstream from compressor/aftercoolers
- Protection for coalescing elements from large liquid loading
- Refrigerated compressed air dryers
The water separator is an ideal solution where water contamination is present. Water can damage pneumatic components, degrade your final product, and cause valves and cylinders to stick.
Result : at 6 bar, 96 % of water is removed, 48 % at 3 bar. See the video for show:
A lower disk (image below) allows solid particles and liquids to fall down without rising up. It isolates the bowl-bottom from turbulence.

Applications
Depending on the filtration type, Delta premium filters are ideal for use in many applications including industrial, process, medical and are perfectly suited for compressor applications.
40 / 25 / 3 µm particulate filters
- 40, 25 or 3 micron particle removal in "dry" systems
- Solid bulk contamination removal
- After filter to a desiccant dryer
- Protection for coalescing in heavy aerosol applications
Carbon Filter
- For Breathable air
- For use in the food and pharmaceutical Industry where there is direct contact with the product
- Eradicates smells
- Removes hydrocarbons
Filter coalescent
- 0.01, 0.3 and 1 µm 1 µm particle removal in "Dry" systems
- Oil concentration removal depending on the filtration rating
- Mainline plant filtration
- Prefilter to refrigerated air dryer
- Paint spraying
- Pneumatic tools and instrumentation
- Blow molding plastics
- Semiconductor packaging
- Critical instrumentation
Filtration types
3 types of filtration are available: particulate, coalescing and adsorbing grade filters.
offering you the complete choice for your application
Particulate filters:
The particulate filter is designed for heavy dirt loading. Large particles such as rust, desiccant dust, and debris will shorten the life of your pneumatic components. Contaminant is generated from desiccant type air dryers, older carbon steel pipes, and from the intake of a compressor.
Why choose a particulate filter?
- Only one element and one media: fine sintered particles (nylon or brass)
- Basic filtration using
Coalescing filters:
Air flows from the inside to the outside of the element
through progressively larger openings in the media. As
contamination moves through the element, solid particles
are trapped and liquids are formed into large droplets.
As the air exits the element, surface tension holds the
liquids and allows them to drain to the bottom.
a coalescing filter?
- Used for the finest filtration (frequently used with a prefilter)
- Several elements and different layered media : glass, metal, nylons fibers ...
- Different textures (slick, woven or "accordion" type)
Adsorbing grade filters:
The adsorbing filter removes oil and larger hydrocarbon vapor from the compressed air stream. Since it only removes vapor, a coalescing element should be used immediately upstream of the adsorbing
filter. Since optimum adsorption occurs at lower temperatures, it is recommended to apply the filter as close to the point-of-use as possible.
Why choose an adsorbing grade filter?
- The adsorbing grade filter is recommended where critically clean air is needed.
- Specially made for removal of water or oil concentration
