Application
After grape gathering, during grape fermentation, the cellar master has to keep a close watch on the temperature of the vats and regulate the temperature of their contents very precisely to produce the desired results. Whether by heating or cooling, the purpose of the air operated valves is to control the temperature of the vats both automatically and reliably. The operating principle of vat temperature control is simple:
a sensor measures the interior temperature of the vat. A controller compares this temperature with the desired temperature and regulates the opening and closing of valves in hot and cold water circuits
Innovative characteristics and advantages of the new "modular weldless" design
The new "modular weldless" design was developed with the aim of facilitating the task and reducing the time (up to an hour and a half of technician time) of fitting temperature control systems to vats, regardless of configuration, for stainless steel tube installations with a diameter of 40 mm or 50 mm (crimp or weld tube) by means of a simple 20 mm drill hole in the piping.
- Cold or hot/cold control
- Semi-automatic or automatic
- All possible fluid circuit configurations (hot/cold send, hot/cold return or hot send/return, cold send/return)
Easy to fit
Watch the assembly of the valves and fitting to the pipework step by step

| Fitting the valves to the pipes | Connecting the flexible pipes |
Other features
- Option to fit a single valve to semi-automatic heat control circuits
- Optimal positioning where the location of pipes is restrictive (180° rotation of the valve)
- Easy fitting to stainless steel piping (locking and locating pin)
- Integrated adjusting plate, multi-position fitting, no electric wiring on the vats, pneumatic control switch rotatable through 360°
- Integrated stop valve allows work on the vat circuit without disruption to the installation
- Integrated components (adjusting plates, stop valve and associated connections) facilitate the preparation of the sub-units and reduce the number of possible leak spots
- Excellent adaptability to all types of heat exchanger (serpentine, tube in shell or belt exchanger)
- "Valve block" incorporating 2 valves able to cover all 2 tube applications without a junction between the valves
Technical specifications
- G 3/4" connection
- Internal diameter Ø 20 mm
- Kv 2.5 m³/h
- Nickel or chrome plated brass valve body
- Stainless steel lower 1/2 clamp, support collar and fastenings ensure excellent resistance to a sulphuric environment
- Integrated 2.7 x 4 mm quick coupler for pneumatic control
- Fluid temperature range -5°C to + 70°C. Gaskets for water and glycol water
- Lightweight: less than 4 kg for 4 valve assembly
- Option of a solenoid valve instead of the pneumatic actuator if the electric installation has already been extended or where compressed air is not available
