Application
Remote/offset input modules can be used in addition to pneumatic distribution islands. Installed on your Profibus-DP, DeviceNet or CANopen fieldbus networks, each module will provide up to 16 additional inputs.
Fieldbus system
Inputs
This input module can be directly integrated into packaging machine, conveyor, assembly line and valve piloting systems, in addition to other applications.

Features
- Integrated bus
When fitted with an integrated communication interface, the module can be directly connected to up to 16 digital inputs on the fieldbus network.
Additionally, it features two connectors that can be connected in series to optimise electric wiring. - Compactness
With a width of only 54mm, this ASCO Numatics active distributor is the most compact module on the market.
Thanks to its integrated communication interface, this compact module can be connected to pneumatic distribution islands or directly to the fieldbus system. This will in turn save space and allow the module to be installed close to the actuators. - Reliability
Input, power and bus connectors, M12 type with tapped metal clip rings.
Cutting fluid, vibration and shock-resistant, with wide temperature tolerance ranging up to 55°C and suitable for a harsh industrial environment. - Diagnostic
All inputs, including supplies, are continuously analysed. The PLC is continuously notified of the module's comprehensive status. When detecting an error, the faulty input LED changes to red and an error message is sent to the PLC through the fieldbus system.
The following errors are detected by the module:- voltage surges,
- short-circuits,
- inappropriate response frame from the module,
- power supply problem (when power < 18 V DC or > 30 V DC),
- cut cables (in accordance with DESINA standards).
- Visual indications
Illuminated areas for configuring addressing and power supply
Status LED indicator with arrow pointing to the input, thus making active input reading easier and more reliable.
Transparent labels identify the inputs
Power supply, bus and input wiring are screen printed on the module (with permanent ink)
